Ingredients List
Aqua, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Niacinamide, Lactic Acid, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Panthenol, Trehalose, PEG-11 Methyl Ether Dimethicone, Sodium Lactate, PEG-100 Stearate, T-Butyl Alcohol, Sodium Benzoate, Benzyl Alcohol, Parfum, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Salicylate, Mica, CI 77891
Great for: hydration and glow and targeting texture and tone
Watch out if: You’re sensitive to fragrance, parfum plus allergens (linalool, hexyl cinnamal, benzyl salicylate) might cause irritation. You react to drying alcohols T-butyl alcohol and benzyl alcohol can be sensitising for some. You have very reactive or eczema-prone skin, as AHAs (lactic acid) may be too active. You don’t like mica or CI 77891 (titanium dioxide) in skincare, mainly for aesthetic finish, but not ideal for everyone.
Overall:
A well rounded, active packed formula that blends brightening, hydrating, and smoothing ingredients into a texture that’s designed to give instant glow and long term benefits. It’s ideal for people who want a serum that actually does something, not just sits on the skin.
However, the fragrance load and alcohols mean sensitive skin types should patch test. If you’re not bothered by scent and you want visible results with hydration and brightness, this is a strong formula for a drugstore price point.

Ingredients to Be Aware Of
T-Butyl Alcohol
Used as a solvent, but can be drying or irritating, especially on sensitive skin.
Sodium Benzoate
Preservative, usually safe, but may irritate ultra sensitive skin.
Benzyl Alcohol
Common preservative and aromatic solvent, can sting or cause irritation around the eyes.
Parfum (Fragrance)
Adds scent but if you have sensitive skin or are fragrance averse, this could be a deal breaker.
Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Salicylate
Fragrance allergens, nice to smell, not so nice for reactive skin.
Mica & CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide)
Used for shimmer or colour, generally harmless, but some might find it too heavy or potentially pore clogging if used heavily.
Olay does not test its products on animals, but it is not considered cruelty free by organizations like PETA and The Good Shopping Guide because its parent company, P&G, sells in countries where animal testing is mandated by law.
"We do not test our products on animals. Olay is working closely with governments around the world to provide alternative research methods to eliminate testing on animals, enabling cruelty-free skin care in the beauty industry. For example, in a few countries where Olay is sold, governments still mandate animal tests. In those cases, Olay can be required by law to submit our products to labs where we know animal tests are happening. This is why we do not claim cruelty-free on our packaging. We do not believe these tests are necessary to evaluate safety or performance. But today, they won’t accept alternative non-animal testing methods. We remain steadfast and will continue to advocate for alternative methods to end animal tests in the industry"

This formula appears vegan friendly (no animal-derived ingredients), but because the brand is not inherently cruelty free, it may not meet vegan consumer standards.
